It's always difficult when we play Egypt: Tunisia coach

Tokyo, Japan, September 21, 2015 – Egypt outlasted Tunisia 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11) in the FIVB Men’s World Cup at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Egypt captain Ahmed Abdelhay: I’m very happy that we won today. It was a tough day but happy because we got a victory after eight losses. But I’m also happy we were able to defeat Tunisia as we will face them in the Olympic qualifiers, so that was a good success for us.

Egypt coach Nehad Shehata: I agree with my captain; it was a difficult day. After eight losses, it’s hard to put the team in good condition. Most important thing is we won and took two points, and the team were able to get out of their sadness. I congratulate Tunisia, who also played a good match. The win is also important for the Olympic qualifiers. I hope my team can play like this in the next two matches; that will help us make good progress.

Tunisia coach Fathi Mkaouar: It’s always difficult when we play Egypt; they are big rivals for us. We tried to prepare as much as possible but it’s a shame about the outcome. We made a lot of mistakes and that was our biggest problem, but I felt we played well in the match.

Tunisia captain Marouen Garci: We fought against Egypt today and overall it wasn’t a bad match. We were sometimes stronger during the game but unfortunately we couldn’t prevail.
