Kubiak says Poland played their best match in win over USA

Poland coach Stephane Antiga added that he was happy with the victory

Tokyo, Japan, September 21, 2015 - Poland's Michal Kubiak was ecstatic after his side beat USA to move top of the standings at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup Japan 2015, while coach Stephane Antiga said is was a satisfying result.

Poland Stephane Antiga: We are very happy with this victory. It's hard to beat USA. Big satisfaction for us to do it. We are not qualified yet. We will have to fight tomorrow. We are rested and ready to do it. We have started matches here badly at the beginning. We started to play aggressively today in the second set. We must improve in this element. It's a mental thing. USA had fewer chances in the middle block tonight.

USA coach John Speraw: Very disappointing. We came here with the same goal as Poland - to qualify for the Olympics and win the tournament. Very dissappointing. We were not skilled enough  iin passing, serving and defensive execution tonight. We weren't ready to win this match. We need to grow and improve quickly, that includes me, as fast as we can beginning with the Russia match tomorrow.

Poland captain Michal Kubiak: We played our best match so far in this competition. USA made us play at the highest level. We have played them many times. We could not beat USA this summer, but we could here. Unfortunately this win does not qualify us. We came to win this competition. This is what we will try to do tomorrow and the day after.

USA captain David Lee: Phenomenal game by Poland tonight, especially from the service line. It was hard for us to stay in rhythm and for our offense to be effective. Our mistakes from the service line made it difficult for us.
