Hamamatsu, Japan, September 10, 2015 – Russia triumphed over Tunisia 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 29-27) in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup at Hamamatsu Arena on Thursday.

Russia coach Vladimir Alekno: "I want to thank the Tunisian team. Yesterday, we lost to Poland so the problem today was how we could improve our team and get better. We did fine in the first and second sets, but the third set very stressful although it was interesting. We won, so I am satisfied and we can learn from the third set."

Russia captain Dmitriy Muserskiy: "Yesterday we lost against Poland but today we were able to recover. Our service and block and spike got better and we gave it our best, so we were able to win."

Tunisia coach Fathi Mkaouar: "Congratulations to Russia. It’s an honour to have a match with Vladimir (Alekno), the coach of the Russian Olympic team and I want to thank him for respecting my team. He put out his first team and this was a big show of respect for us. He is a professional and we thank him for that. It was a difficult game, but as I’ve said before, we came here not only to play, but to learn and today we learned a lot."

Tunisia captain Marouen Garci: "In this match, we played better than yesterday and the day before. Russia are very strong and we struggled in the first and second sets. But in the third we coped better and the team performed well."
