Toyama City Gymnasium has a strong relationship with the World Cup, having hosted World Cup games in 2003 and 2007. Built in 2002, the gymnasium is just a five-minute walk from Toyama Station, ensuring that plenty of volleyball enthusiasts from central Japan and elsewhere will have the opportunity to visit Toyama.
